This was an exciting find and is an eye grabbing antique tile originally from the ceiling of an old Spanish house. The tiles have been hand painted in vibrant blues and whites but have not been sealed so the paint does chip and ware. Perfect for a statement wall or used on a floor but accepting the tile will develop over time as the paint chips.
This is a handmade product using traditional methods meaning there can be tonal variations in colours (which adds to the beautiful depth and texture of the tile). The natural pigments are applied by hand and then the material is fired at high temperatures, this gives variation in tones and shades of colour.Â
This product is not micro porous and in most cases sealing is not required. These tiles are ideal for wet spaces, shower walls, splash backs etc – Please consult us for more information.
The product is made with a natural terracotta based which is fired; natural pigments are applied and then the tile is re fired to create the final glaze. There will be small discrepancies in each tiles dimensions due to the handmade process; this variation is purposeful and adds to the aesthetic finish; this is not a machine made product.
Please see product dimensions at the top of product page.Â
Please refer to our installation guide and employ a professional to install the tiles correctly.
