We are delighted to unveil the ‘Lovely Collection’. A stunning combination of designs and colourways working together with 2LG Studio. The collection has been designed with a curated colour palette reflecting the 2LG signature style and with flexibility to work with any scheme. Pink, Blue and Green form the lead colours whilst Camel and Stone provide the perfect combination to ground the bolder tones.
Jordan and Russell were passionately involved with the creation of the collection at each stage of its development. They commented, “This is a collection of joyful designs, born out of the process of making cement tiles and showing off the unique hand of each maker. A series of motifs and textures, in bold colours and neutrals, to be playfully used together in infinite combinations for expressive spaces”.
Moire
The first design inspiration was Graphic Moire, based on 2LG’s passion for Italian design and was recently showcased in the WOW House project in Chelsea Design Centre. “This classic moire motif references rich watermarked silk and has been brought up to date with strong graphic lines. In an intricate making process, this tile design has 3 iterations, to be used in an organic mix creating a graphic patchwork of moire texture,” commented Jordan and Russell.
Wiggle
The Wiggle design is inspired by the hand painted motif around the doors of 2LG’s own studio space; the Wiggle is a rebellion against the norm! Intended to give confidence to express yourself and draw outside the lines. This tile can create a large border for any space with complimentary plains in the centre or can be configured to create a series of head-turning Wiggle stripes across an entire space – this design is an expression of openness and joy.
Love
The heart motif tile Love is a playful nod to the love that 2LG want to share in their work. Used across a whole space or just add one single tile to create a little motif in the corner of any room, simply add Love in a colour to compliment other chosen tiles. Think of the Love tile as a wonderful touch of whimsy – a tattoo for your room.
Cake
Who doesn’t love a bite of cake? 2LG have taken that classic checkerboard and made it good enough to eat. Placing it within a single tile, Cake gives the opportunity to devise many configurations of patterns. The Pink and Camel colour choice references old school Battenburg, whilst the other colour combinations provide endless laying options.
Ombre
The Ombre design came out of discussions about the actual process of making each tile. It’s what comes when the freedom to experiment is encouraged. Ombre can be laid to create undulating large-scale stripes with soft edges, or to produce a wonderful patchwork of soft colours when laid in different directions.
Whichever tile you choose, they will be sure to add joy to your interior.
